Are glossy stickers eco-friendly? – Sticker it

A beautiful gloss finish is usually characteristic of plastic stickers, which are not eco-friendly. However, with our custom stickers, you can now get glossy stickers that are eco-friendly.

We have two eco-friendly sticker options that give you that gloss finish: eco-friendly white and eco-friendly clear stickers. Both stickers are made from sustainably sourced wood pulp, which makes these stickers compostable. But our eco stickers differ from standard stickers.

What makes eco-friendly stickers glossy?

Our eco-friendly stickers are laminated with a protective film that makes these eco stickers waterproof, scratch-resistant and stops them from fading in the sun.

This film is biodegradable and will not interfere with the compostability of your eco natural stickers.

It is also this protective film or laminate that gives your stickers a glossy or matte look. At Sticker it, we love a glossy finish as it makes your stickers look of higher quality. Especially for transparent stickers, we recommend using a glossy laminate to give them ultimate transparency.

Are biodegradable stickers glossy?

We also offer biodegradable paper stickers and labelled. These are not glossy, as they are made from uncoated paper that consists of sugarcane fibre, linen and hemp.

This gives these stickers a naturally matte look that highlights their texture and gives them an authentic look. We love using these permanent matte sticker to brand artisan products, thick, premium logo stickers for eco-conscious brands and much more.

What about glossy vinyl stickers?

Vinyl stickers are usually a go-to glossy sticker. They are also laminated to be waterproof and are generally more durable than eco-friendly stickers.

However, these are usually plastic stickers which might not be what you are looking for. Most vinyl stickers are made from PVC, which is hard to recycle. We try to avoid PVC and use polypropylene instead, which makes our vinyl stickers recyclable.
