If you're interested in getting transfer stickers but want to know more, read on. Firstly, what is a transfer sticker?
A transfer sticker gets cut from a single piece of vinyl. We remove the unwanted parts, leaving just the image behind.
We then apply a transparent application paper to hold the pieces together for the application.
The limitations of transfer stickers
Because a human needs to remove the excess vinyl manually, they can be expensive compared to other stickers.
The manual labor also means minute detail isn't possible as each piece needs to be large enough to stay in place during the weeding process. We recommend a minimum size of 0.11" (3mm) or more in any direction. For example, for a lowercase 'i', the dot needs to be 0.11" (3mm) in diameter.
The final constraint is that transfer stickers are usually only available in a single color because they get cut from a single piece of colored vinyl. If you want lots of small details or multiple colors, go for clear stickers.

How to get the best transfer sticker
- Choose a simple, bold design and ensure no piece smaller than 0.11" (3mm) to help with the sticker's durability, so each piece stays in place. Transfers aren't very durable because of many edges that can pick up if rubbed, like on the phone going in & out of a bag or pocket.
- Ensure your design looks fantastic in a single color.
- Ask yourself if a transfer sticker is going to be best for your application. We find transfer stickers work best when applied to glass or another material where you want to see the surface through your sticker.
