Sticker sheets are just one way you can get your custom labels. Custom labels are generally printed onto rolls of sheets. So when we refer to a sticker sheet, we are talking about the sheet that your custom labels will be printed onto.
At Sticker it, we use the terms stickers and labels to differentiate between individually cut (stickers) and printed onto sheets (labels). The world of custom sticker printing can, therefore, often seem a bit more complicated than necessary. So, if you want to take a deeper look into each term, read on.
Custom labels
When applied, custom labels look just like custom stickers. However, the difference is in the way they are printed and cut.
Custom labels are made from self-adhesive materials, just like stickers. But instead of being individually cut, custom labels are printed onto rolls or sheets.
This makes custom labels the ideal choice if you want to use them as product labels or to brand your product packaging. As they are printed onto rolls of sheets, they are much easier and quicker to apply and more convenient to store.
Custom sticker sheets
Custom sticker sheets are what your labels can be printed onto. Sheets usually come in A4 size and allow for quick and easy peeling. Sheets are the best choice if you will be applying your labels yourself. Rolls, on the other hand, are often used for machine applications.
What do sheet labels look like?
Essentially, you can think of sheet labels as giant kiss cut stickers. They are cut through the material layer only, leaving the paper backing intact.
However, instead of just a single design, sticker sheets can hold several of the same or even multiple different designs. You can see an example below.
How do I order sheet labels?
There are two ways you can order sheet labels: enter the size of each individual label and select the overall quantity of labels you need, or enter your sticker sheet size and only order the number of sheets you need.
You can find out more about when to enter which size here.
And what about custom stickers?
Now, custom stickers, like die cut stickers, are individually cut through the material layer and paper backing. This makes them the perfect option for logo stickers that you want to hand out, or even stickers you want to sell on.
The image below shows the difference between individually cut stickers and labels on sheets perfectly.
Don't forget that these terms only describe how your stickers are printed and cut, not what they are made from. You can get your waterproof vinyl stickers or paper stickers on sheets, individually cut, or as roll labels.
